Our Story

In 2015, a simple question sparked everything: Where do all these cheap plastic sunglasses end up?

We were tired of watching throwaway eyewear pile up in landfills. Plastic frames that break after one season, trendy styles that don't last, accessories treated as disposable—it didn't sit right with us. And when we looked around our home province on the Canadian prairies, we realized there were few truly sustainable eyewear options available locally.

That's when we discovered wood and bamboo as beautiful, durable alternatives to plastic. Keepwood was born from that discovery.

What We Make

Every pair of Keepwood sunglasses and eyeglasses is handcrafted with intention. We source our woods carefully, pair them with premium polarized and polycarbonate lenses, and use high-quality hinges and hardware built to last. Each frame is finished by hand, with attention paid to every detail—because we believe eyewear should be something you keep, not throw away.

Always Evolving

Sustainability isn't a destination for us—it's a daily commitment. We ship all our products in 100% recycled packaging. We're constantly researching natural oils and plant-based finishes to seal our woods. And we're always asking ourselves: How can we do better?

Whether it's the materials we choose, the way we craft each frame, or how we deliver them to your door, we're building a brand that respects both people and the planet.

Why Choose Keepwood?

You're not just buying eyewear—you're choosing quality over quantity, craftsmanship over mass production, and sustainability over convenience. You're supporting a small Canadian business that believes style and responsibility can go hand in hand.

Welcome to Keepwood. Let's build something that lasts.
