At Keepwood Eyewear we recognize that we are all part of a greater global community. In addition to giving you a more eco-conscious eyewear option, we also want to give you the opportunity to help those in need. Since most of our products are crafted from wood and bamboo, we thought it fitting to partner with Trees for the Future, who share our belief in the power of trees to save lives.
For each pair of eyewear sold, Trees for the Future plants 10 trees in one of their many Forest Garden Programs, which consists of a systematic and proven method of growing thousands of trees that will provide families with sustainable food sources, livestock feed, products to sell, and fuel from wood.
The Trees for the Future approach is simple- Plant Trees. Feed Families. Change Lives.
The project's main focus is on the implementation of Forest Garden Programs in Cameroon, Kenya, Senegal, Uganda, Guinea and Tanzania, as these are areas where they are having the biggest impact and seeing amazing results.
Their main belief is that Forest Gardens can transform degraded and denuded farmland into fruitful and productive land, which could prove to be one of the planet’s best ideas for eliminating hunger, extreme poverty, deforestation and for lessening humanity’s contributions to climate change.
Trees for the Future has set a goal to break the cycle of poverty and eradicate hunger for the first 1 million people involved in their projects, by planting 500 million trees in 125,000 Forest Gardens by 2025. Keepwood is excited to be contributing to this goal with the help of our amazing customers.
